Volunteer Spotlight – Dennis Jones

Twenty-seven year old Dennis Jones is a lifelong Lebanon resident who has been volunteering at Spark! since our beginning. Dennis has been employed in various capacities at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center since high school; he is currently working in the Food and Nutritional Services Department at the medical center.

At Spark! Dennis enjoys interacting with all the participants, especially children, who all love him unreservedly, and playing games and music. He can usually be found at Spark! a couple of times a week, and almost always for our Friday Fun Nights.

When he’s not working, or volunteering at Spark! , Dennis enjoys snowboarding, skiing, and music. He loves music so much that Dennis has served as a DJ at Spark! events as well as a volunteer and DJ at Happenings dance events for the Special Needs Support Center.

Spark! participants readily agreed that Dennis is a special person, noting that “He’s willing to help anyone!” and “He’s such a kind person.”
