June 20, 2025
Welcome all to Spark’s 11th year celebration! As part of our party tonight, we have an annual meeting where you will vote to accept our board members and officers. The board is tasked with a lot and the main focus is to let Spark continue into the future as a sustainable organization and keep the fun going.
Center success – new classes and activities, our acting group led by Ryan Clausen, Spark Players, will continue in the fall. Their performance last week was heartfelt and well-received and we’re so pleased to be able to support their efforts and spirit.
We are planning to start up a new but familiar program at Spark in the fall called Spark College where participants connect and teach one another about their interests and share knowledge.
Our Women’s Group has been going strong all year and after a bit of a summer break, our Women’s and Men’s Groups will restart in September.
Some challenges – funding – overall funding is down across all non-profits and grant awards and we continue to develop sources of revenue.
Spark location and space – we are consolidating to the one blue room by the end of this month with the long-range plan to grow and continue all the programming at Spark. And we’re certainly not limited by our space – we will go out in the community and have fun together.
We have dates set for this summer at the Lebanon pool!
We will get outside to the skatepark in West Leb for games
Plan for group outings to Dartmouth Hop shows, Tip Top Pottery, sporting events, Spark Diners Club every other month, and any other ideas that you all can come up with.
Thank you to all of the participants here – you are why we work so hard to keep Spark going. And thank you to families and friends and donors and all staff for being part of Spark!
